The Storm Aproaches + Movies

Its Monday, only a few days until the Sudbury Youth Conference. Yes be excited! For several weeks now the bloggers have been busy bees preparing for this great event. So don't for one second think that the Blog is slowing or becoming less awesome. This weekend will be one of the best you have ever experienced. If your thinking of not coming, just remember that there are children in Africa with no SYC to go to.

In the mean time I would like to leave you with something a little different. Lets test your movie knowledge and see if you can't guess some of these:

1."I'll be back!"

2. "The rain in Spain stays mainly in the plain"

3. "I'll make him an offer he can't refuse"

4. "My precious"

5. "Aye, fight and you may die, run, and you'll live... at least a while. And dying in your beds, many years from now, would you be willin' to trade ALL the days, from this day to that, for one chance, just one chance, to come back here and tell our enemies that they may take away our lives, but they'll never take... OUR FREEDOM!"

6."Say hello to my Little Friend"

7."Just a flesh wound"

8."Houston, we have a problem"

9."What we do in life echoes in eternity"

10."THIS IS SPARTA!!!"

These are all from famous movies and some of them should be super easy. If you can name the movie, and the actor or character played you will mentioned as a superbly AWESOME person in my next vlog and who knows you might even get put into a poll. If not, well the closest to getting them all will be awesome and get the reward. Good luck! I'll be posting the answers in a few days.

  1. Methinks Google renders this contest a little pointless, but here's my google-less answers all the same:

1: A shiny metal person from some old film. Exterminator? Ender? Something along that line.

2: Spanish Irrigation - A 1964 documentary on agriculture in Spain.

    3: Everything. Ever.

4: Frodo, from LOTR, in a deleted gay scene between him and Samwise.

5: Everybody's favorite Scotsman, and one of the few men out there who can wear a skirt and still look awesome. The BRAVE HEARTed William Wallace!

6: No idea. Probably some Super villain who fights by commanding an army of mutated midgets.

7: A DeFeeted (And DeEverythingelse) Black Knight from the land of MontyPythonia

8: The Blog. Under somebodies name in the followers list.

9: "How to be a Religious Fanatic" Chapter 4: One Liners and Inspirational Speeches.

    10: ((50 + (25 x 2))^2) / 10) - 700

  3. Well you know my obsession with movies sooo here's what I know:
    1) Terminator, Arnold Schwarzenegger
    2) My Fair Lady (watched it in English class) I know it's with Audrey Hepburn, I don't remember who the actor was though that said this line
    3) The Godfather, AL PACINO
    4) Lord of the Rings, Gollum, I can pretty much name every actor in the movie just not the actor that plays Gollum
    5) Braveheart (one of the single greatest movies EVER made) and Mel Gibson
    6) Scarface, AL PACINO
    7) Monty Python and the Quest for the Holy Grail, the dark knight dude, basically that movie is filled with a punch of actors I know nothing about
    8) Used a lot, I don't know where it originated but I think of Tom Hanks in Apollo 13, which is by far one of my all time favourite movies
    9) Gladiator, there are quite a few big actors in this and it's been a while but I'll take a guess that it was Russell Crowe
    10) 300, and one of my favourite actors Gerard Butler

I'm impressed with your movie choice, but it was a bit too easy. Other than number 2, this list is like my top favourite movies of all time!
